They won't be forgetting the name of Ratshag in Ashenvale or the Stonetalons anytime soon. Last night I finished off the Venture Company's operations in the Windshear Crag and did for the local boss, Genenzo Wrenchwistle. I also pretty much wiped out a Cenarius cult operating in the area and brought back the head of the top fuhgger, a centaur named Ordanus. I had to fight my way past a ton of druids to the top off his treehouse, and his bodyguards were a bunch of tough mutherhumpers. They stomped me pretty good, but in the end they couldn't stop me.
I gave up trying to find the last pages of that stupid manual and just had my boy Friday pick up copies at the auction house and mail them to me. Way easier than killing every damn thing in the forest and cutting it open to see if ate Page 7.
Went back down to that dwarf base in the Southern Barrens. That sad bugger Gann was still pissed off about their strip mining and blasting in his precious holy spot, so he asked me to help him blow up their flying machine gizmo. Well, actually, he asked me to do it for him. So I go rip through their headquarters and get the stuff he needed to make a bomb, then I went back in and blew it to pieces. Easy as choppin' bunnies.
I also finally tracked down that surfer chick Mahren Skyseer. She had a problem - some sea monster thing was screwing up her attempt to catch the perfect wave - so I swam out there and killed it and brought her it's heart. Afterwards she showed her appreciation by making sure everything that needed it was properly greased and polished. Plus she gave me a really cool shield.
That's all for now. I think it's time to find new places to kill things. Nothing left around here.
...It must be Blood Elves.
I went back to the Ghostlands the other day and partnered Bashaen, Bethsheba, and Ratal. I was most pleased to see that Bethsheba was using the two-handed sword I had forged for her. We spent several hours slaughtering trolls. Apparently these were the kind who didn't "Stay away from the da VooDoo, mon", so it was okay to kill them.
Later in the day I went back to the Stonetalons and met a BE hunter who called himself ViperVenom. Not a member of our guild but a decent fellow nonetheless. Together we took out enough harpies in the Charred Vale to make a big pot of stew.
I'm running out of jobs to do in the Stonetalons, so I did a little
roaming. Delivered some messages to the Great Lift and Freewind Post in
the Thousand Needles,
south of the Barrens. Then I caught a hippogryph flight north to
Ashenvale. I don't mind saying that that places freaked me out the
first time I was there. After the wide open spaces of Durotar and the
Barrens, the thought of giant spiders and who-knows-what hunting you in
all those trees was intimidating. But now I'm older and have seen more
of the world and have some way better gear, and now it's the
who-knows-whats in the trees that need to be afraid of me.
Anyway, there was a wanted poster for a couple of fuhggers named Knucklerot and Luzran. By this point the BEs are all full of piss and vinegar and were like, "Let's go kick their asses!" So of we go.
What the posters didn't mention just how big these mutherhumpers were! Must've been 30 feet tall at least. Well, we see Luzran coming down the road and I get myself set with the sqishies behind me and Krila running around to backstab him (or at least get his knees). All was good, but the prietess Bashaen ditzed out and forgot she was supposed to be using her magic light powers or whatever to heal me! I mean, I'm a tough guy but I sure ain't indestructible. Well, I got squashed. Fortunately I'd hurt him enough by that point that they were able to finish him off. But it was a damn close thing.
We did much better with Knucklrot. This time the priest chick had her head in the game and made sure I didn't bleed to death while I stood the fuhgger up. This gave the squishies time to do their stuff and we took him down easy.
After that I said "hasta la vista" to the hot chick Blood Elfs (and that one or two which ain't hot chicks) and went back to the StoneTalon Mountains. Everyone there is a major treehugger, I'm finding. It's all Gaea seed pods and "the mountains are suffering" and "paint with all the colors of the wind" crap. Still, they're paying me good silver to do the jobs, so there I am. I took out a couple of Goblin tree-cutting Starship Trooper robot things last night. Too bad you gotta be a goblin to drive those things. Woulda been fun to take one out on the Barrens and chase down scytheclaws in it.
Went back to the Grimtotem camp and sure enough, there was Flathoof's daughter again. Got her back to daddy. She was so glad to be rescued that she gave me a little extra XP on the side.
Found a Troll by the name of Xen'Zilla who wanted more spiders dead, and was willing to pay for it. So back to the spider grind I went. They do make a satisfying "thunk" when you sink your axe between their eyes...
Sent a bunch of stuff to my boy Friday in Orgrimmar for him to sell at the auction house, and I haven't heard anything back yet. Worse, he hasn't sent me my money. I may need to go over there and kick his ass for him.
Finally made it to the Stonetalons last night. Partied big time. Cool place - way better than Ashenvale. More trees than the Barrens, but not so bad that you can't see your enemies coming. Helped out a Tauren loser named Makaba Flathoof, who was all "Woe is me! My village has been trashed by the Grimtotem Clan!". Stomped all over the Grimtotems and brought Flathoof the head of their leader. Would have rescued his daughter too, but some fuhgin squishy Blood Elves rescued her first. Maybe she'll need rescuing again tonight, heh heh.
Then I ran over to Sun Rock Retreat. Told the innkeeper I'd be in the
area for a while. Also set up an account with the local Wind Master.
Then I went and killed about a million spiders and lumberjacks. Major
XP grinding. Found an ugly little bugger named Ziz Fizziks and did a job for him. Expect he'll have more work later.
